Port Coquitlam Zoom Boom Ticket - Zoom Boom Training is intended to train operators on variable reach forklifts. The goals of the training are to be able to impart an understanding of the physics of the equipment, and to outline the operator's job. This program adheres to North American safety standards for lift trucks. Zoom boom training and certification is available at our site or at the company's location, provided there are a minimum number of people training. Certification given upon successfully finishing it is valid for three years.
The telehandler or also known as a telescopic handler is similar in many ways to a common forklift or a crane. This helpful equipment is made with a telescopic boom that could lift upwards and extend forward. A variety of attachments could be connected on the end of the boom, such as pallet forks, bucket, lift table or muck grab. It is popular in industry and agriculture settings.
The telehandler is a common used together with fork attachments to be able to allow the shuttling of loads. Telehandlers have the advantage of being able to reach those inaccessible places which cannot be reached by a standard forklift. Telehandlers could remove loads which are palletized from within a trailer and putting them on high places like for example rooftops. For certain applications, they can be much more practical and efficient as opposed to a crane.
When lifting loads that are heavy, the telehandler might experience some instability. As the boom is extended very far with a load, the machine will become more unstable. Counterweights situated at the back help, but do not solve the problem. As the working radius increases, the lifting capacity quickly decreases. Various equipment come together with front outriggers that extend the lifting capacity whilst the machinery is stationary.
